I love Metroidvanias. Of these, I've beaten 4 (Hollow Knight, Metroid Dread, Metroid Prime Remastered, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps) and own but haven't yet played 3 (Axiom Verge, Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown).

I don't see myself ever tuning into one of these "channels". What's happening with the streaming services is just the latest sad chapter in the forever narrative about how economics ensure that consumers never get what they actually want with the one significant outlier being the Steam PC gaming platform.
